Lookout at UCL East

This special version of our project Lookout was re-imagined through conversations with UCL experts on climate change and planetary futures and presented to coincide with COP29 in Azerbaijan.

Taking place on the terrace of UCL East’s Marshgate Building, looking out over breathtaking views of East London, a group of adult audience members were each paired with a young performer from Mayflower Primary School in Poplar. They stood together, looking out at the streets and buildings of the city below, and began to imagine how that same view will look many years from now.

You can listen to recordings of the children’s visions of the future via our Soundcloud.

Lookout at UCL East was created by Aaliyah, Afiyah, Aayan, Dawud, Humaira, Kyra-Lei, Mersia, Raihan, Rayyan, Sajida, Sara, Sharah, Talha, Yameena, Zayaan and Zubayed from Mayflower Primary School
